Sleepless in……….

Do you find you wake up in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep? Too much coffee? Middle age? Can’t stop thinking about an interaction with a co-worker? If it’s the latter then you may need to have a difficult conversation. First look at the situation as three stories. One is your story or your point of view. The second is the other persons story or point of view. The third is the difference between the two stories and the things you both can agree on. Plan your conversation with them starting from the third story and then do it without the emotion attached that kept you at at might. The next night you will sleep like a baby! (other than waking up every two hours to cry, eat, and have a diaper change….)
